I was at my sister’s
house sometime in October and on entering her living room came face to face
with a white Christmas tree all done up! I looked at her with a puzzled look on
my face, what is this? I asked. My tree of course, she replied, a Christmas tree
in October? I blurted out. Yep! I was so bored one day and decided to set up my
tree, she said. Hmmmm, I guess my sister was the first person to have her tree
up in the whole world; she should be in the Guinness book of records!

Yes! It is that time
of the year again when the world celebrates the birth of Christ. A time to
spread Love and good cheer, a time to be happy, and above all a time when
people shop and shop till they drop! Yes, its Christmas my favorite time of the
year
Have you started your
Christmas shopping? Am yet to get round to planning my shopping list. People
generally make the mistake of not planning their shopping well in advance only
to rush to the mall at the last minute without a clear cut plan on how best to
go about their shopping.
My Christmas
preparation is done in batches. First I start with shopping for clothes, shoes
and other fashion accessories around October, and also spring clean the house
and do a bit of re- decorating. In November, I shop for non perishable food
items. We all know that during Christmas prices literarily hit the roof, so it
is advisable to start early and beat the price hike.
By the second week in
December, it is advisable to shop for things like drinks, juices and other
things that are perishable, if you are lucky to have stable Power, you can keep
them in the refrigerator.
Christmas is a time to
have a special menu. It is good to plan your menu for the holidays this will
guide you while shopping, and be sure to stick to items on your shopping list.
We all know that Christmas is a time when people do a lot of impulse buying; it
takes a great deal of restraint to control yourself while at the mall.
Christmas is never
complete without lights blinking away on
your tree at a corner in your home. It is worthwhile to invest in a good tree,
and once you take good care of it, you will enjoy it for a long time.
Decorating the tree should be a family affair.
I remember one
particular Christmas when I had to put up my tree in a rush. My very busy
schedule did not give me time to leisurely put my tree up and I found myself
rushing against time to make sure my tree came up a week to Christmas, I almost electrocuted
myself trying to put up the light!
Nothing beats the warm
glow coming from lights blinking away on your tree on Christmas Eve, with you
tucked in on your sofa, a carol playing and a drink in hand.
So, Christmas is here
again, a time to be merry and share Love. A time to also remember the less
privileged ones amongst us and put a smile on their faces, not only at
Christmas, but at all times.
Wishing you all a
truly Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year ahead!
Enjoy your Space this
Christmas.
So looking forward to this christmas, thanks for giving me a heads up!!!!! Your an inspiration......
